This is my laundry basket set up for the "mossy" color scheme art scarf. When a friend came to visit one day and caught site of the basket he exclaimed "It's Cousin Itt!" referring to the Addams Family character.

After much experimenting with tangling yarns I developed this set up to knit with so much variety in one scarf. After choosing a general color scheme for an art scarf, I go through my extensive yarn stash gathering all the colors in a wide variety of weights and textures that will pull together in the one scarf. I arrange all these options in one big laundry basket with the strands flowing through individual openings in the basket. The basket sits on a lazy susan on top of a small side table by my chair.
