This cross is now part of the Memorial Wall at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Orange, TX.

The Good Shepherd Budded Cross (replica of Bishop Doyle's pectoral cross) made of polymer clay and mounted on a cross made of pine.

The shape, known as a budded cross, features the Christ figure as The Good Shepherd bringing peace to his flock, symbolized by the lion and lamb at his feet. Each of the trefoil ends feature different resurrection symbols; the lotus flower, lily, bursting pomegranate, and dogwood blossom. The grape vines filling the form remind us that Christ is the Vine and we are the branches. When we abide in Him we bear much fruit.
full symbolism of the design is here

The polymer clay embellishment on this cross was made from my mold of the pectoral cross I made for Bishop Andy Doyle. That full project may be viewed on my website here.
