For a few working days I was only able to work an hour or 2 each day adding vine details...Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday, September 4th I got in a full 8 hour day of work on it.
I met with Bishop-Elect Doyle on Wednesday to show stones and the wax model. It was the first voyage out of the studio for the wax model and it went with me to several meetings that day (can't leave wax in a hot car). It gathered onlookers at the diocesan office and St. Martin's as people got to view it first hand. It became a "teaching cross" that day as I explained the symbolism.
