IMPRESSIONS OF NATURE

I make a series of one-of-kind pieces I call Impressions of Nature. I take impressions from natural objects in a sheet of soft wax. I study the shapes and lines of the impression leading me to make free cuts to shape and form the unique pieces. The wax form is cast in sterling silver. The oxidation in the finishing process brings out the natural details of the impressions contrasted with the high polished surfaces. These are suitable for customization. An example may be viewed here: Customized Impression Cross

These pieces will be identified by a TC or TP code in front of a number to use when ordering. Since these are one-of-a-kind pieces they cannot be duplicated but I am always creating more in this series.

Please know that all pieces are given the same attention to detail with a high polished finish before delivery.

Any visible prices showing on tags in this gallery are now out of date since silver prices have doubled since these were photographed. Call or email for current price quotes.

This box enclosure comes with each piece from this series:

Impressions of Nature Series
I take impressions directly from natural objects, such as a leaf or seashell, and then incorporate that texture into the jewelry form. I find the tiny details in nature to be a source of wonder. It is my intent to transfer that contemplative aspect to the jewelry piece.

"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive."
