I also had Greg make a vulcanized rubber mold of the casting. Bishop-Elect Doyle has requested a sterling silver cross also be made so the mold will provide the vehicle for that to happen. The mold is also a good insurance policy in the event we ever need to remake his cross.
We also intend to make small crosses available for others to purchase made from different parts of the cross mold.
This photo shows the rubber mold halves with the gold cross in it. I then take the mold and inject molten wax into the cavity of the mold and work with the wax forms from the mold.
