BISHOP DOYLE'S PECTORAL CROSS > WAX CARVING DAY 2

I found another day to work on the wax on Thursday July 31st. I got started around 11 in the morning and wrapped up around 6:30 to head home.

The first hour was spent picking up where I left off refining the last 2 trefoil ends and filing the back side to an even thickness of about 3mm. Noon to 2 was spent transferring the design elements to the wax cross form. The rest of the day was spent carving.

In this stage of the process I am removing wax by scraping and carving with sharp tools. Further in the process I will start to add wax for more dimension and to develop the vines in final stages.
